Serious bug in v2.6.5
[30.06.2004]There is a serious bug in the last release inside the ErrorReporter. This bug can cause a StackOverflowException if you have not defined an error handler as system property and no jconfig.properties file is in the classpath when a problem occurs when jConfig loads or saves a configuration. We strongly recommend that you upgrade to v2.6.6 which can be found here. We apologize if this might have caused problems.

No news are good news
[30.12.2003]No news lately. But it does not mean that we are not working on it. There are some new features coming along with three bugfixes. Actually we are planing to have v2.4 ready by the end of january.
Website update
07.08.2003Here is the new jconfig.org. As requested a few times there is now a
Wiki sytem online. All documentation has been converted. The old
whiteboard has been dropped due to the fact that it was never really
used. The wiki pages is where we want to share ideas and plan new
features. Giving you the ability to take part.
jConfig 2.2 released
01.08.2003The wait is over. jConfig 2.2 is now a reality. What's new? Basically
everything we promised to bring out now exists. We've fixed what
bugs that were reported. The EventListener has been extended. There
are multiple ChangedEvents within. This has been a topic of
discussion. As usual we ask those faithful to jConfig, to download it,
and provide any reports of bugs and/or feature requests. See the
Features section to check out the major changes within this release.
What is going on
28.06.2003We are currently working on version2.2 which will include a new event
mechanism. There will be three events generated (configuration,
category and property) depending on what has changed. There will be
2 bugfixes included as well. The auto-reload feature is back and one
more small bug. We will include a new config-lookup mechanism which
will first of all search for a file {configname}_config.xml and if not
found then look for the config.xml in order to make working with
different configurations easier. The release is scheduled for next week
or the week after.
Sorry
16.05.2003It happened that the last release was broken. The jconfig.jar file
contains no class files.
This release contains also one bug-fix concerning variables. If you
have downloaded v2.1 then please download the new release.
Sorry.....
jConfig 2.1 released
26.04.2003The maintenance release has been published and is now available for
download. The issues addressed were that of NullPointerExceptions
and how they should be handled internally. The next release plans to
address the current issue of how the java properties files are
imported. There is much discussion concerning the issue of how to
import the properties files. Anyway, the release is now out. If you
experience any problems with it, let us know.
